How exactly am I a jerk/twit? You gave me a nasty comment on my Micheal Jackson caricature that I drew a long time ago. Please elaborate on what that’s supposed to mean. Right now you’re coming off as a jerk to me saying rude things to me without any basis to it. Since you have a Micheal Jackson tribute picture in your favorites category I’m assuming you’re a fan of him. Were you rude to me because you thought I was mocking/degrading him? Caricatures are meant to look cartoonish and exaggerated. People get themselves drawn all the time as caricatures. It’s meant for fun; not to be degrading. Maybe in your perception what I drew looked sloppy and bad so you assumed it was to make him look terrible. You seemed to have missed the words of praise I said towards Micheal in the description below that pic. Micheal is the only celebrity I have in my gallery. He’s probably the only celebrity I ever cared about to want to draw him and put him in my gallery. Since you’re new to deviantart (just joined this week) you might not have known much about your way around this site or about how the site works. So I’ll let it slide. Since you’ve just joined there are two things you should know about the site.
1. Deviantart is a place you can find so many different extraordinary artworks, but that doesn’t mean everyone on this site is an amazing artist. Some people (me included) aren’t as skilled as other people in art. But there are other reasons we upload art. Maybe to share them with friends/ see how we progress/ etc. Just because somebody’s art looks bad to you does not mean they trying to show whoever they were drawing in a bad light.
2. Deviantart has a mostly a friendly community. If you continue to use that same kind of attitude you used with me with other people, that could lead you closer to the possibility of getting banned. Which a lot of people don’t want. They could always make a new account but it could be a bit bothersome to manually have to add/upload any other things from their old account if they have a lot of stuff.
Lastly, if it seemed to you like I was insulting you with this comment, I was not. It was not my intention to insult you but to enlighten you to make better decisions with what you post to people. If what I summed up was true; and your comment was just a simple misunderstanding. Then please be bold enough to admit if it was a mistake. Nobody’s perfect, everybody makes mistakes you and me included. It takes a mature person to admit their flaws/mistakes. Most heated arguments stem from either misunderstandings of each person’s perception or people being unwilling to admit they’re wrong to avoid humiliation and a bruise to their egos. I rather avoid unnecessary conflicts with you and have fun on the site. If you’re open to befriending me then you’re welcome to do so. If not, then that’s okay too. Have a nice day.
